WITHROWING IT ALL AWAY

Baseball Prospectus' team tracker statistics are down after they moved to a new server farm over the weekend, so I have no stats this week until that gets fixed.

Yesterday, Adrian Gonzalez homered in his fourth straight game, while my other first baseman, Justin Smoak, has gotten off to a 0-for-8 start with four walks since being called up from Oklahoma City.  I know he will get his first hit eventually, but why couldn't he pull a Jason Heyward and hit the first pitch he saw out of the park?  That never happens to my guys.

Chris Withrow, meanwhile, is going the other direction.  He was pummeled for seven runs, seven hits and two walks in two and a third innings against a Huntsville team with Lorenzo Cain, Jonathan Lucroy and Brett Lawrie (Lucroy didn't even play in this game).  Withrow's ERA is now 9.00 after four starts.

On the injury front, no word about Jose Mijares blurry vision, and Juan Uribe was pulled from the last two games with an elbow problem.  Aaron Hill returned from the DL and homered in his first game back.
